Vivekananda Convent High School started in April 1983 with an aim to provide children from the weaker and underprivileged sections of our society with a holistic education and provide a conducive environment to mold themselves into ethical and socially sensitive citizens.
Our school is running on the principles of Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Maria Montessori and Mahatma Gandhi and we focus our efforts on inculcating the right qualities which can act as a support system in the child’s overall development.
We truly believe that education is help rendered for life and we have been implementing various practices such as the Montessori methodology, Activity based learning approach and ladder system, to ensure that each child learns at his/her own pace without any pressure or comparisons.

Our mission is to work with individuals, families, communities, organisations and governments to further the rights, education, and welfare of children irrespective of race, religion , political and social beliefs. We are committed to transcending borders in order to serve children through innovative educational methodologies and practices and function as a social movement that strives to promote the rights of the child to access qulaity education in a conducive environment.

We Promote
In Viveknanda Convent High School we promote self- learning and group learning, where the children have complete freedom to choose their activities and we avoid burdening the children with any homework Additionally, we teach meditation to all our children and all the staff members and children meditate together in the campus every day as it paves way towards a moral and socially sensitive mindset. It is also mandatory for every child to enroll in at least one or more activities such as music, dance, sports, Arts & Crafts, gardening, storytelling, writing etc., We give utmost importance to these cocurricular and extracurricular activities and we are associated with organizations, to support us in these initiatives.
Counselling & Training
Apart from this, we recognize that it is extremely important for a child to have a positive environment at home. To ensure this, we continuously organize counselling and training sessions to all our parents throughout the year by trained psychologists, where we monitor the issues and progress of each child at an individual level. Since inception, we dedicated all our resources and energies and made it our sole purpose to ensure that we provide holistic education to the children from lower middle class and under served households, so that we give them the tools they need to become valuable citizens of our future
